What does the lesson schedule look like?
On Monday, the snow sports instructors will greet you and your children. After presenting the course ticket or online confirmation, the group assignments will be made. Patience is required on the first day. After warming up, the children will ski in front of the instructors to be assigned to appropriate skill groups. The group size is limited to 8 children to ensure individual attention for your child.
On Wednesday at 12:15 PM, there will be an aperitif at the meeting place "Rinderhütte" (Torrent), to which all children and parents are warmly invited. Group photos will also be taken on Wednesday. These can be ordered and picked up by Friday. Price: CHF 10.-.
On Thursday, in addition to the regular lessons, there will be a final race at the ski lift "Rinderhalde" (Ski Lift 1) on Torrent. The start time will be announced by the instructor before the lesson. Immediately afterward, the class's internal award ceremony will take place at the meeting place at "Rinderhütte". Each participant will receive a medal.
What equipment and food does my child need for the course?
Required equipment: snowboard, snowboard boots, warm (suitable) ski suit, gloves, and helmet. Protectors such as back protectors and wrist guards are recommended. A good pair of sunglasses or goggles and proper sun protection are also a must. Please ensure that the equipment is dry every morning. The rental of equipment is not included in the course fee and can be rented upon arrival at one of the local sports shops (link to the Partners/Sports Shops section).
During the break on Torrent, the ski instructors will accompany the children to a restaurant in the ski area. Please give your child about CHF 5.- per day for a drink.
In which languages is the course offered?
All our snow sports instructors speak several languages (Swiss German, German, French, English, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Polish, …). In group lessons, the participant's skill level is the most important, followed by the language spoken. Therefore, the groups are usually mixed.
