During the group ski lessons children will learn to ski in small groups and in a playful way. Accompanied by Snowli, they will make their first experiences on skis and will train to slow down and stop independently in the family-friendly ski resort Wallis.
Children aged 4 - 5, who have already made their first experiences and are able to glide and brake independently can participate in the advanced group.
You will find a video showing a group here.

Torrent Ski Area or Snowpark Sportarena – Which ski area is suitable for my child?
For children who are skiing for the first time or who are not yet confident in stopping, we recommend attending the group ski lessons at Snowpark Sportarena. The five lifts (3 conveyor belts, and one drag lift and one T-bar lift) are ideal for beginners. Advanced skiers can improve their personal style and technique in the Torrent ski area. However, beginners can also be taught in Torrent thanks to the new Snowliland, although the possibilities are more limited.
What is the structure of the lessons?
At the beginning, the ski instructors will lead many acclimatization games related to skiing. Stay close by in the beginning (outside the lesson area). Trust the trained instructors and, after a moment, let your child be with the class and instructor alone, if possible. To cater to each child’s needs, the group size is limited to 6-7 children.
On Wednesday, group photos are taken. These can be ordered and picked up by Friday. Price: CHF 10.-
Every Thursday evening, the children's torch-lit ski descent takes place in the Snowpark Sportarena. Please let us know if your child will participate. Participation is free. Mulled wine and hot chocolate will be offered. Participation is for Blue Prince ski level and above (Advanced). The ski instructor will provide further details (starting time between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM).
On Friday, the ski race takes place. It starts about 45 minutes after the lesson begins and is organized at the small conveyor belt. The award ceremony takes place immediately after each race for each class in the finish area. Every child is a winner with us and receives a medal after the race. The lesson will continue after the award ceremony.
What equipment and food does my child need for the course?
Required equipment: Skis, ski boots, warm (fitting) ski suit, gloves, and helmet. A good pair of sunglasses or goggles and sun protection are also essential. Please ensure the equipment is dry every morning. The children do not need ski poles.
Equipment rental is not included in the course fee and can be rented at one of the local sports shops upon your arrival.
During the break, the children will be provided with a small snack and a drink. You can also give the instructor a small snack for your child. Please label the snack with your child’s name.
In which languages are the lessons conducted?
All of our snow sports instructors speak multiple languages (Swiss German, German, French, English, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Polish, …). In group lessons, the participant’s skill level is the primary factor, followed by the language. Therefore, the groups are generally mixed.

Additional offer
If you are unsure whether your child is ready for group lessons, we recommend booking a MuKi / VaKi private lesson in advance. The children gradually get used to skiing together with their mother and/or father. They are guided by competent instructors. This offer is especially helpful for placement in group lessons. Book your MuKi / VaKi private lesson here.
