What does the lesson program look like?
At the beginning, the ski instructors will do many warm-up games and tell the Snowli story. Stay nearby at first. Trust the trained ski instructors and, after a moment, let your child (if agreed and if possible) be with them alone.
On Wednesday, group photos will be taken. These can be ordered and picked up by Friday. Price: CHF 10.-.
On Friday, the ski race will take place. It will start about 45 minutes after the lesson begins and will be organized at the small conveyor belt. The award ceremony will take place immediately after each race for each group and will be held in the finish area. Every child is a winner with us and will receive a medal after the "race." After the award ceremony, the lesson will continue until 11:30 AM.
What is the learning goal of the group course?
The goal of the lessons is to help children playfully get used to the snow and equipment. By the end of the week, the children will not be able to turn or ski alone in a snowplow position.
Learning Goals:
- Walking on flat terrain
- Gliding in a parallel ski position
- First steps toward the snowplow
- Ski school mascot Snowli and ski school life
What equipment and food does my child need for the course?
Required equipment: skis, ski boots, warm (appropriate) ski suit, gloves, and helmet. A good pair of sunglasses or goggles as well as sun protection are also a must. Please ensure that the equipment is dry every morning. Children do not need ski poles yet.
The rental of equipment is not included in the course fee and can be rented upon your arrival at one of the local sports shops.
During the break, the children will be provided with a small snack and a drink. You can also give the instructor a small snack for your child. Please label the snack with your child’s name.
In which languages are the lessons conducted?
All of our snow sports instructors speak several languages (Swiss German, German, French, English, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Polish, …). In group lessons, the participant's level is the first priority, followed by the language. The groups are therefore usually mixed.
